Although paying attention to spiritual needs of caregivers is one of the indispensable components of holistic care in nursing, in recent years it has been less considered.  This research aimed to investigate the effect of Spiritual education on depression, anxiety and stress (DAS) of caregivers of children with leukemia. Method: This clinical trial study comprised 60 caregivers of children with leukemia. Intervention group received spiritual intervention for 5 sessions of 60 minutes based on the Richards and Bergin pattern. Research instruments consisted of demographic data questionnaire, spiritual health questionnaire, DASS questionnaire which were filled before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16. Results: the mean and standard deviation of age in control and experimental groups were 40±6.9 and 35.7±6.2, respectively.  Findings show that in the experimental group, DAS scores reduced after education (p˂0.05), while no reduction was observed in the control group in this regard (p˃0.05). Moreover, in experimental group, spiritual health after education significantly increased compared to pre-education stage (p˂0.001). Conclusion: Due to the positive impact of spiritual support on caregivers' health level, implementing educational interventions for caregivers are recommended because of low cost and more effectiveness.}, Keywords = {Spiritual, Spiritual Support, leukemia, health, pediatric caregiver }, volume = {4}, Number = {1}, pages = {1-7}, publisher = {Torbat Heydarieh University of Medical Sciences}, url = {http://jms.thums.ac.ir/article-1-329-en.html}, eprint = {http://jms.thums.ac.ir/article-1-329-en.pdf}, journal = {Journal of Torbat Heydariyeh University of Medical Sciences}, issn = {2716-9669}, eissn = {2716-9669}, year = {2016} } @article{ author = {Najafpoor, Ali Asghar and Davoudi, Mojtaba and Dehghan, Ali Akbar and Bakhti, Sepideh and Ghaderifar, Shiva and Ahmadi, Elahe}, title = {Investigation of Melia azedarach core and fruit adsorbent for removal of Methylene blue from synthetic wastewater}, abstract ={Background & Aim: Dyes are one of the most important pollutants in textile wastewater that are toxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic and non-biodegradable. Entering of dyes into water resources reducing the penetration of sunlight and eutrophication is occurred. Melia azedarach core and fruit is one of the inexpensive natural absorbent that has an important place in the treatment of textile wastewater. Methods: In this study solid structure of absorbent was analyzed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Scanning electron microscope, also effect of various parameters such as initial dye concentrations (10-100 mg/l), adsorbent dosage (0.1-1.1 g/l), contact time (0-60 min) and solution pH (4-10) on the removal of dye were investigated and at the end, kinetics and adsorption isotherm were also noted by the adsorbent. The remaining of dye was analyzed by UV/VIS spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 665 nm. Results: Maximum removal of color, which is 85%, was in color concentration 32.5 mg/l , adsorbent dose 0.85 g/l, detention time 45 min and pH=8.5.initial concentration had the greatest impact on color removal (P=0.0001). The results showed data were explained acceptably by pseudo second-order model (R2=0.95_0.99) and Langmuir isotherm model (R2 = 0.98). Conclusion: Core and Melia azedarach fruit has the ability to remove methylene blue. Taking this into account, the present study was undergone to compare EI scores among nursing and midwifery students. Methods: This study was executed using the sectional method. The study population consisted of all the nursing and midwifery students in the Nursing and Midwifery School of Mashhad, including a total of 189 students who had been chosen via simple random sampling. A questionnaire was used as the data accumulation tool. The data was analyzed using statistical software, the Independent t-test, One-way Variance test and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient. Results: Of the total study units (189 people), 134 (70.9%) were female and the rest were male. The mean age of the students participating in this study was 22.29±4.05 within a range of 18–45 years. The average and Standard Deviation of the study unit’s emotional intelligence stood at 109.64±14.07. Moreover, no meaningful difference was seen among the students in the variables of gender, field of study, level of education and the different years of college (p>0.05). This study was aimed to investigate the frequency of Staphylococcus aureus carriers and its methicillin-resistant pattern in Torbat Heydariyeh hospitals staff in 2013. Methods: This is a descriptive/cross sectional study conducted on 130 hospital staff in Torbat Heydariyeh in 2013. The sampling was done using a sterile swab from anterior nasal of each person. Then, the samples were cultured on mannitol salt agar and identified by Gram staining test. Antibiotic Susceptibility of Staphylococcus strains was determined by Kirby-bauer method. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus were identified using oxacillin agar method. Results: 28 out of 130 cases (21.5%) were nasal carriers of Staphylococcus aureus. Staff of ICU and laboratory had the highest Staphylococcus aurous carriage, while staff working in obstetrics division showed the lowest. Among all studied variables, there was only a significant relationship between age and being a carrier of Staphylococcus aureus. The greatest resistance was observed to penicillin (100%), Glucosaciline (42.9%) and the lowest resistance was observed to cotrimoxazole (5%) antibiotics. In this study, 14 samples (10.8%) were resistant to methicillin by oxacillin agar method. Conclusion: The results showed that a considerable number of Torbat Heydariyeh hospitals staff are methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus carriers. Thus, detection and treatment of these carriers plays an important role in incidence rate of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The exercise training schedule was performed as follows: Endurance training with intensity (50% to 70%) maximal heart rate and strength training with intensity (60-70% of 1RM) three days a week for 10 weeks. To evaluate the RBP4 serum levels and blood insulin, blood samples were taken in fasting state from all subjects. Results: Mean and standard deviation of age in subjects were 50±3. After intervention, RBP4 serum levels significantly reduced in strength group (P=0.03) compared to endurance group (P=0.57). Also glucose serum levels significantly decreased in both experimental groups (P >0.05).
