زمینه و هدف: تجویز آنتی ­بیوتیک در جهان در حال گسترش است و استفاده غیرمقتضی از آنتی‌بیوتیک­ ها می­ تواند منجر به ایجاد چالش­ های بزرگی در نظام مراقبت سلامت شود. یکی از راهبردهای توصیه شده برای پیشگیری از استفاده بیش از حد آنتی‌بیوتیک­ ها، پایش تجویز آن‌ها می­باشد. هدف از انجام این مطالعه، معرفی کاربرد ابزارهای مبتنی بر فناوری اطلاعات در بهینه‌سازی تجویز و مصرف آنتی­ بیوتیک ­ها بود.
روش­ ها: این مطالعه به صورت مروری نقلی با جستجو در پایگاه‌های داده الکترونیکی Web of Science، PubMed  وScopus  در بازه زمانی 2013 تا 2023 میلادی و با استفاده از ترکیب کلیدواژه‌های مرتبط با فناوری اطلاعات و آنتی‌بیوتیک مطابق با استانداردهای جستجو برای هر پایگاه داده انجام شد. معیارهای ورود در این مطالعه شامل مقالات به زبان فارسی و انگلیسی، بدون محدودیت نوع مطالعه بود. فرآیند انتخاب و غربالگری مقالات در چهار مرحله شامل شناسایی و حذف موارد تکراری، غربالگری اولیه عناوین و چکیده‌ها، بررسی متن کامل مقالات واجد شرایط و جستجوی دستی فهرست منابع مقالات منتخب انجام شد.
نتایج: از 801 مطالعه بازیابی شده، 46 مقاله مرتبط انتخاب و تحلیل شدند. در تحلیل داده‌ها 9 دسته ابزار مبتنی بر فناوری اطلاعات در پایش استفاده از آنتی ­بیوتیک ­ها شناسایی شد که شامل پرونده الکترونیکی پزشکی، سیستم‌های پشتیبان تصمیم‌گیری بالینی، سیستم‌های تایید الکترونیکی، سیستم‌های نظارت و پیشگیری از عفونت، سیستم‌های الکترونیکی مدیریت تجویز دارو، بازخورد الکترونیکی عملکرد به پزشکان، سلامت از راه دور، اپلیکیشن‌های تلفن همراه و شبکه‌های اجتماعی آنلاین می‌باشد.
نتیجه­ گیری: ابزارهای مبتنی بر فناوری اطلاعات با فراهم‌سازی اطلاعات دقیق و به‌موقع می‌توانند به بهینه‌سازی مصرف آنتی‌بیوتیک‌ها، افزایش تطابق با دستورالعمل‌ها و کاهش عوارض جانبی کمک کنند. اثربخشی این ابزارها به زیرساخت فناوری، آموزش کاربران و حمایت سیاستگذاران وابسته است. با توجه به محدود بودن شواهد در کشورهای با منابع محدود، انجام مطالعات بومی‌سازی‌شده و کارآزمایی‌های بالینی برای ارزیابی اثر این فناوری‌ها در نظام سلامت ایران توصیه می‌شود.
