زمینه و هدف: امروزه بی‌توجهی به آموزش و توانمندی بیماران و مراقبین آنها مهم‌ترین نقص در استراتژی‌های درمانی و مراقبتی است که زمینه‌ساز برگشت بیماران به بیمارستان می شوند. مطالعه حاضر باهدف مقایسه تأثیر آموزش بیمار محور و خانواده محور بر تبعیت از درمان در بیماران تحت عمل پیوند کلیه انجام شد.
روش ها: این مطالعه به روش نیمه تجربی بـا مشـارکت 96 نفـر از بیماران تحت عمل پیوند کلیه در بیمارستان دکتر لبافی نژاد در شهر تهران و یکی از اعضاء درجه‌یک خانواده بیمار انجام شد. واحدهای پژوهش به روش نمونه‌گیری متوالی وارد مطالعه شدند و به سه گروه (32 نفر) خانواده محور، بیمار محور و کنترل تقسیم شدند. ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات فرم مشخصات دموگرافیک و پرسشنامه تبعیت از درمان بود. هر دو گروه مداخله آموزش هایی در قالب کلاس های آموزشی به مدت 6 هفته دریافت و گروه کنترل فقط آموزش‌های روتین بخش را دریافت کردند. به‌منظور تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 24 و آزمون‌های آماری کروسکال والیس، کای اسکوئر و رگرسیون خطی چندگانه استفاده شد.
نتایج: تفاوت آماری معناداری در حیطه‌های اهتمام، تطابق، چسبیدن و امتیاز کلی بین سه گروه آموزش بیمار محور، خانواده محور و آموزش روتین، بعد از مداخله وجود داشت (P<0.05). بین امتیاز کلی نمره تبعیت از درمان و همچنین تمامی حیطه‌ها به جزء تلفیق و تدبیر بین سه گروه مطالعه تفاوت آماری معناداری وجود داشت (P<0.05).
نتیجه گیری: آموزش بیمار محور و خانواده محور در بیشتر حیطه‌های تبعیت از درمان تأثیر دارد اما آموزش خانواده محور مؤثرتر از آموزش بیمار محور است.
