Background & Aim: Spiritual health education for female adolescents improves their quality of life. Family is one of the factors affecting the spiritual health and quality of life of adolescents. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of spiritual health education with family participation on health-related quality of life in female adolescents.
Methods: This study was a randomized controlled clinical trial before and after on 60 adolescent girls aged 14-12 years in Mashhad in 1401-1400. Among 22 urban health centers, two centers were selected by simple random method. .Data collection tools include; Demographic information form and quality of life questionnaire related to health Kidscreen 27 that were completed before, immediately and one month after the intervention by both groups. The educational content was held in 8 sessions of 30-45 minutes twice a week for the intervention group. Three training sessions were held for the mothers of this group and the control group received the usual trainings. Data were analyzed using SPSS.24 software and independent t-test, analysis of variance and Mann-Whitney U.
Results: Before the intervention, the mean total score of health-related quality of life in the two groups was not significantly different (P> 0.05), but after the intervention, the mean total score of health-related quality of life in the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group. Was (P <0.05).
Conclusion: Spiritual health education with the participation of the family increased the quality of health-related life in female adolescents, so the use of these educations is recommended.
